This also applies to the climate."
Pioneering projects for environmentally friendly construction
Here we will keep you informed about new projects that have been realised with KIBECO building materials and with the help of KIBECO services. And which can therefore rightly be regarded as outstanding examples of environmentally friendly construction.

YOND Campus
With the YOND Campus, Swiss Prime Site is creating a dynamic location for urban commercial use on the Albis site in Zurich by 2027. The building will use 1,500 m³ of KIBECO MIGROX Oulesse, a completely cement-free lean concrete made from mixed demolition granulate.
SPS is thus consciously focusing on CO₂-reduced and circular construction
Fastned
New fast-charging stations for electric vehicles from the provider Fastned are currently being built in Kloten - a project in which KIBAG is heavily involved. In addition to the construction work, KIBAG is also supplying sustainable building materials from its own production, which actively contribute to reducing CO₂ emissions.
KIBECO RECO concrete, a cement-reduced concrete that also permanently binds CO₂, and the completely cement-free lean concrete KIBECO MIGROX Oulesse have already been used.
Kunst am Bau
Together with artist Bob Gramsma and Oxara, the Kunst am Bau-project round table PD#24324 was created at the government building in Frauenfeld. Formwork made from local excavated material was filled with KIBECO Cleancrete Oulesse, our cement-free concrete. The formwork was then removed from the dried concrete.
Now it is visible: a round table made of CO₂-reduced concrete that enriches the public space in Frauenfeld and shows how demolition material and excavated material can be used to create places for encounter and reflection.
ewz pipe block
In Zurich, a pipe block was constructed using the innovative cement-free lean concrete BEGROX25 Oulesse. The test, which took place from 9 to 12 December 2024, aimed to test the processability, consistence and setting behavior of the cement-free concrete.
In its conclusion, the ewz stated: "The BEGROX25 RC-C lean and tamped concrete 0/16 BM 250 C1 is equivalent to cement-bound concrete in terms of consistency, but is slightly stickier. This is shown by the fact that it holds together better when formed into a ball by hand. After one day, the concrete had hardened to a similar extent as the cement-bound concrete. The BEGROX25 is just as easy to handle as conventional concrete. After consulting with the employees of Isen AG, they confirmed that the processing was the same as usual."
The tests were carried out under real conditions and confirm the suitability of the building material for sustainable construction by promoting the reuse of demolition material and avoiding the use of cement.
Pavillon MANAL
The MANAL pavilion, realized together with Oxara, is a pioneering example of sustainable construction and shows the first load-bearing application of KIBECO Cleancrete Oulesse®, a cement-free, low-CO₂ concrete. By combining it with KIBECO Cleancrete Nossim® and compacted clay blocks, the potential of cement-free materials is fully exploited. The MANAL pavilion impressively demonstrates how innovative, environmentally friendly materials can shape the future of construction.

Skatepark Basel
An exciting project was the skate park in Basel, for which KIBECO supplied the KIBECO Cleancrete Oulesse®. The cement-free, sustainable concrete impressed with its eco-friendly nature and quality.
