More freedom for sustainable concrete: the ND annex makes it possible!
Sustainable construction requires innovative solutions - and this is precisely where the new national annex ND of SN EN 206 comes in. It allows more flexibility in concrete production and opens up new ways of using more environmentally friendly materials. A concrete according to annex ND is a concrete according to its properties - the decisive factor is what it can do, not what composition it has.
What is changing?
✅ More flexible formulations - no minimum cement content, no fixed water/cement ratio
✅ More circularity - greater variety of materials from the circular economy
✅ Less CO₂ - thanks to greater freedom in the choice of alternative binders
These innovations directly support the objectives of the new SIA 390/1, which defines the climate pathway for buildings - and therefore fit in perfectly with KIBECO's philosophy. With our sustainable concretes RECO200 C25/30 XC3 (GWP Phase A1-A3: 104 kg CO₂/m³) and RECO300 C30/37 XC4, XF1 (GWP Phase A1-A3: 128 kg CO₂/m³), this is exactly where we come in. Both types sequester CO₂ and offer a CO₂ balance that is around 35% lower - with the same E-modules of E25 and E30.
If you want to go one step further: KIBECO Cleancrete Oulesse NPK A C20/25 XC1 relies on an innovative, circular and cement-free binder.
Annex ND is a door opener for more sustainability in the construction industry. We are ready - and you are?
