This also applies to the climate."

Terrazzo flooring made from filter cake

A multi-family house is currently being built in Thalwil, Zurich, using KIBECO Cleancrete Nossim. The cement-free cast clay was pumped into place in mid-February.

A terrazzo floor covering around 500 m² is being created, which is not only aesthetically pleasing but also has a positive effect on the building's physics. Clay stores heat, regulates humidity and thus ensures a pleasant indoor climate. All living spaces throughout the building are being finished with KIBECO Cleancrete Nossim, with only the stairwell and wet rooms being left out.

As no cement is used at all, significant CO₂ emissions are saved. The reuse of filter cake, which would otherwise end up in landfill, is also particularly valuable. This consistently implements the circular economy concept and turns a waste product into a high-quality building material.
