As part of Climate Week Zurich, we welcomed numerous visitors to KIBAG RE in Regensdorf and introduced them to the CO₂ storage facility developed by neustark.

On site, we demonstrated how biogenic CO₂ is permanently bound in mineral demolition materials. The treated material is then returned to the building materials cycle and used in recycled concrete.

A live demonstration brought the entire process to life—from the delivery of the untreated material to its introduction into the plant, followed by an explanation of the subsequent treatment process. In addition, visitors were able to compare untreated and CO₂-sequestered concrete rubble with their own eyes and hands. Visually, no differences are apparent, but the impact on the environment is significant.

The opportunity for personal exchange on-site and the chance to make new contacts further enriched the event. After all, it is precisely the collaboration between various stakeholders that provides a key lever for further developing circular solutions in construction and strengthening their climate impact.
